Everyone has a past, even your favorite mother of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta, Momma Dee and her man do! MStars News has learned that Lil Scrappy's mother decided to reveal that she had a drinking problem. Before the couple tied the knot last month, Momma Dee and Ernest sat down with Pastor Mark Couch for some counseling where she talked about their rocky relationship.
"'For better for worse, richer or poorer,' y'all ready for that," the pastor asked.
"Are we ready? Not quite," Ernest admitted as Momma Dee revealed that they had "some issues going on."
"We were married a long time ago and he went off to prison, and when he got out he apologized and I apologized," Momma Dee said. "We can't go back and redo what was already done. At the end of the day, what can we do now?"
She continued, "We both in our fifties and we want to try to make it work."
Ernest revealed that he had been in and out every time they were together because they love each other. He claimed that he was "dealing with a whole lot of issues," including rejection, low self-esteem and more, blaming readjusting to society as the problem.
Ernest revealed that he was also dealing with Momma Dee's defects including "alcohol, drinking, the pain pills as a result of her accident, and it bothers me." He continued, "I'm afraid because I've been in and out of the hospital with this woman. I don't want to go and keep sitting and watching her when I know the alcohol pain meds is playing a part of her illnesses. It hurts me."
Momma Dee even admitted to her pastor that she had been "drinking a lot," while blaming it on her kids. "My kids play a part of that because of the rejection from them with me trying to help them in their lives."
Ernest seemed to disagree with his fiancee at that time.
Momma Dee continued, "I know that I'm going to have to settle this with these kids before we can continue because they play a big part of my life."
See where their counseling session ends up. MStars News previously reported that her bridal shower and bachelorette party got wild and crazy last week before she said, "I do."
Hopefully Momma Dee finds the help she needs in the future with her issues.
