Nicki Minaj's ex-boyfriend, Safaree Samuels says that he has no intention in pulling down his ex-girlfriend following their break up and her new found love for MMG rapper Meek Mill.

In an interview with 2LTV's Loren Lorosa, Safaree denies being "petty" following his break up with Nicki, "It doesn't make any sense to be malicious and pull anybody down. You're not gonna get anywhere with that. That's just going to be petty and corny."

During the BET awards, Nicki sent a cryptic message to her ex in her acceptance speech when she said she didn't want to be blamed for his delayed rap career.

June 28 the rapper approached the BET microphone to receive her Viewer's Choice Award and decided to send a little dig to her ex.

"Don't give up on yourself no matter what... This is for everyone in this room. I want to tell you to please make it your business to follow your dreams because one day you will look around and your dream will be gone and you will be mad at somebody. But be mad at your g*ddamn self," she said.

Before the dig, Safaree tweeted that he was denied red carpet access, "So BET told my publicist I'm "banned" from BET Red carpet, hmmm wonder why... don't recall a situation occurring with them but hey #itiswhatitis."

He sent another dig and tried to dismiss it as an innocent post tweeting, "Tell em b*tches blow me lance Stephenson... and to outsiders don't say anything about me quoting that I wrote it! Have a goodday!"

Recently, the rap star tweeted about her break up and confirmed that she is only in love with Philly rapper, Meek Mill.

"God gave me a good heart. I always let ppl get over on me way too long. But that's why I'm blessed. I'll always be blessed. May God keep u," she added, "And just for the record, I'm in love with meek."
