Frank Ocean Caught For Speeding, Police Find Marijuana In Car, Gets Cited And Looses His License

R&B singer Frank Ocean certainly had a blast on New Year's Eve. He was high on marijuana and speeding. His speeding attracted the police and when he got caught.

Ocean drove a black BMW and was pulled over by cops after he went 90 mph on a 65 mph at Mono County, California. When cops came closer to the vehicle, they got "a strong odour of marijuana" from it. The cops decided to search the "Pyramids" singer's vehicle and found a "small bag" of marijuana. Though he was not arrested, he was cited for speeding, driving on a suspended driving license, tinted windows and finally for marijuana possession, TMZ reported.

The case is being reviews by the local district attorney. Ocean was reportedly driven by a passenger in his car after Ocean's driving license was confiscated by the cops.

Ocean, whose legal name is Christopher Edwin Breaux is a Grammy Award winner and his debut studio album "Channel Orange" was released July 10, 2012. About 390,000 copies of the album were sold as of Dec. 5, 2012 according to Nielsen SoundScan.

Ocean is also a songwriter who writes songs for Justin Bieber, John Legend, Brandy and Beyoncé Knowles. He has also worked with artists like Nas, Pharrell Williams.

The singer Tweeted Jan. 3, "hi guys, i smoke pot. ok guys, bye." This was followed by another Tweet, "hi guys, i drive a [BMW] M3. that bitch fast. ok guys, bye. :)"
