It's July 4th in 2015! In honor of Independence Day, let's take out the grill and start the BBQs for the weekend. So why not celebrate your patriotism with your favorite comic book superheroes, such as Captain America and Superman, who continue to fight for truth, justice, and the American way.

We have our Top 5 Superhero Covers that celebrate our Independence Day here:

1) Action Comics Annual #3 (1991)

In the storyline, the time-traveler Waverider discovers the alternate timeline where Clark Kent reveals himself to be the Man of Steel, in order to become President of the United States of America. Not only does Superman try to be the best leader for humanity, he also attempts to pull it off without his powers. I would vote for Superman if he was running for president.

2) Captain America Vol. 4 #1 (2002)

You cannot celebrate the 4th of July without mentioning Captain America himself. In the cover, we witness Cap leading the charge himself, waving his shield in the air. Steve Rogers has always kept the faith in the American dream, even during the country's darkest hour.

3) Justice League: The New Frontier

In an alternate timeline, set between 1953 and 1960, Wonder Woman, Batman, Superman, The Flash, and Green Lantern team together for the first time, even though war threatens to tear their society part. Everyone puts aside their differences and fight for just one cause; to save humanity from a deadly alien invasion. Just because you don't agree with something, that doesn't make you unpatriotic.

4) Blood & Glory

Frank Castle and Steve Rogers fought in two different wars, Vietnam and World War II, but no one celebrated their return home. Though Punisher and Captain America have different methods, the two have never given up the good fight.

5) Captain America #1

It was a different time period back then, not like Marvel's Civil War, where you didn't know whose side you be on. But everyone back then knew who the enemy in World War II was. That's why readers were cheering when they saw Captain America punch out Hitler.

Many of these comic books can be bought over at ComiXology here:
