Season 3 of Arrow divided many fans, as some were unhappy with the focus on Oliver and Felicity's on-again, off-again romance. Star Stephen Amell spoke with TV Junkies about Season 4 and offered some vague teases about what to expect from the two characters when the fourth season begins.

"Well they’ve been away," Amell said. "They are away and I believe they are still away when we get going again." The Season 3 finale ended with Oliver and Felicity literally riding off into the sunset, and many fans have speculated that they were on their way to Coast City.

In the comics, Oliver winds up with Black Canary, aka Laurel Lance. But will the show keep Oliver and Felicity together instead? "Well you never know, but I think if anyone has a decent chance it’s Oliver and Felicity," he said. "Time will tell."

Amell also clarified his recent comments that Season 4 begins with a time jump. It seems that, as per usual, the time jump will only reflect the actual, real-world passage of time between seasons.

"When I said there was a time jump people were like, ‘Oh my God, really?’" Amell said. "I didn’t think that was very spoilery because the show has always followed chronologically when we air. Whenever we’ve taken a break and go off the air from May til October, when we leave it’s May and when we come back it’s October."

Finally, Amell talked about what he is looking forward to in the fourth season. "It still feels like our show but there are different elements that I think people are going to enjoy," he said. "We get to see some characters interact that weren’t always the closest of friends or interacting on a regular basis which is neat when you’re doing new stuff in the fourth season of a show."

Back in Season 2, Arrow revealed that Oliver Queen had a son about whom he does not know. In the Season 3 crossover with The Flash, Ollie ran into his child's mother in Central City. But will this child, presumably Connor Hawke, ever show up on the series?

Not according to showrunner Marc Guggenheim.

A fan asked Guggenheim on his Tumblr page if the series would ever address Oliver's son again, and he responded with a flat-out "No." Do you believe him?

Season 4 of Arrow will premiere on Wednesday, October 7th at 8 p.m. Eastern, and you can check out an image here of star Stephen Amell in costume. Does this mean that Oliver will in fact suit up as the Arrow once again?

In other news, Amell held a Q&A on Twitter and one fan asked him to sum up the Season 4 premiere episode in three words. "What's wrong, Speedy?" was his reply. Could this be a tease that Oliver returns from his sunny new life with Felicity in order to help Thea? Is something wrong with his sister as a result of the Lazarus Pit?
