British soul singer Adele is mighty lucky. Her fans and music lovers like her so much that for her album, "21" is reportedly the biggest-selling album twice.

The 24-year-old singer released her second album, "21" Jan. 21, 2011. She becomes "the first artist since Michael Jackson to produce a record topping the sales charts in both the year of release and the year following," Guardian reported.

In 2011, the album sold 5.82 million while in 2012, it sold 4.41 million units, just a 25 percent dip, according to Nielsen SoundScan. It was Jackson's famous "Thriller" album that made him reach that feat.

Guardian notes that the top five best-selling albums in the U.S. for 2012 were by British artists, One Direction's "Up All Night" at number three and "Take Me Home" at number five, while Mumford And Sons' "Babel" took the fourth and the only U.S. artist was Taylor Swift's Red at number two.

NME also notes that Adele's "21" album was s the most returned and exchanged Christmas gift of the year.

Recently Adele went ahead and trademarked her name and anyone using her name on products without her consent can attract her ire.

Adele is the winner of two Grammy Awards - Best New Artist and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance. She remained number one for 21 non-consecutive weeks in U.S., a first in the history of U.S. Billboard.
