Jennifer Lawrence is beloved in Hollywood. With that, it's hard to imagine there was a time when casting agents weren't lining up at her door to get her in one of their movies, but at one time, she did have problems landing roles. In the past, movie runners told her she needed to lose weight in order to continue finding work. During a Comic-Con panel, Lawrence spoke candidly about this body shaming issue. According to her, she has been lucky to break through but other actresses may still face issues because of these expectations from Hollywood

"I would hope that there are more opportunities for women, but sometimes it's hard. I was just having a conversation with somebody about the struggles of weight in the industry, because they know that it's something I talk nonstop about," Lawrence said.

The Hunger Games star then went on to say that the person asked her if the movie industry had a weight problem. "And I said, 'Yeah, because once you get to a certain place people will hire you and they want you to be in their movie, so they don't care.' It's more about the struggle for the actors and actresses who haven't made it to a certain place," Lawrence continued.

"I'm not really in a place where I can complain or speak to not getting enough roles, because I'm very lucky to have a lot of opportunities," she continued, "but I would be interested to hear someone who is not in two franchises answer that question."

Here's an old clip of Jennifer Lawrence speaking out on the same subject.

In other Lawrence news, the next time we'll see her on screen will be in November for the Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2. After her character Katniss Everdeen is symbolized as the Mockingjay, she joins up with District 13 and the two entities go to war with the autocratic Capitol.

The movie will also star Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth.
