Audiences have been eagerly binge-watching Marvel's Daredevil on Netflix. With the casting announcement of Season 2 of Marvel's Daredevil, will Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) find himself up against his ex-lover Elektra Natchios aka the deadly assassin Elektra (Elodie Yung)?

We mentioned before, Netflix has announced Season 2 of the Man Without Fear series. There will be a few changes this time around as executive producer Steven S. DeKnight steps down and adds new showrunners Doug Petrie (American Horror Story) and Marco Ramirez (Sons of Anarchy).

According to Marvel, the G.I. Joe 2: Retaliation action starlet will play Elektra, a mysterious woman from Matt Murdock's past. Elektra's dangerous and exotic ways may be more than he can handle. As we previously mentioned, in our recap of Murdock vs. Nelson, in a flashback, the college buddies made reference to the Greek girl, but she was never seen.

Executive Producer and Head of Marvel Television, Jeph Loeb, states, "After a worldwide search, we found in Elodie the perfect actress to embody both Elektra's impressive and deadly physicality, as well as her psychological complexity."

Loeb adds, "Paired with Charlie as Matt Murdock, the two will bring one of the most beloved and tumultuous comic book relationships to life with all the accompanying sparks and spectacular action sequences the show is known for."

The official Facebook page shared this image and caption, "An old friend is coming to Hell's Kitchen: https://bit.ly/elektram #Daredevil #Elektra"

We also mentioned, the former Walking Dead actor will portray their most popular characters. Staying true to his comic book origins, Frank Castle aims to clean up New York City's Hell's Kitchen by any means necessary. The Punisher and Daredevil are always at odds over the difference between justice and vengeance.
