Basketball Wives L.A newest cast member Mehgan James spoke exclusively to MStars News about shaking up the veteran cast of the hit VH1 show.

The former Bad Girl's Club reality star -known for her blowout fight with cast member Falen- now faces some altercations with Fine A$ Girls designer Draya Michele. Mehgan opens up about starting over on reality TV, beef with some co-stars and a kinky threesome with her "sister."

MStars News: How were you invited to star on the show?

Mehgan James: Jackie Christie and I shared the same publicist at one point and she knew that I dated a guy in the league so she introduced me to the girls and the producers thought it would be a good fit for me. And she kind of just pulled me under her wing and dragged me onto the show with me.

MT: Has coming from Bad Girls Club hurt your career and your character?

MJ: I honestly would say yes. I just feel like when people see me they're like, oh you're the girl that beats everyone up. I don't think anyone really takes Bad Girls Club seriously at this period as a platform to have a career. I think it's hurt me and also helped me because without Bad Girls Club no one would know who I am at all.

MT: How has life been since appearing on that show? Have things gotten more violent with crazy fans?

MJ: Yes, they'll try you! I think the worst experience that I've ever had was I did a club appearance and someone that I guess didn't like me, she came up and actually pulled my hair. It took everything in my body not to physically put my hands on her so I just got security to get her escorted out. But it took so much not for me to have another Bad Girls Club moment in real life.

MT: The Show's build up shows you constantly fighting with Draya Michele. Will there be blows thrown?

MJ: You guys are definitely going to see a more polished Mehgan. I learned to fight with my words. I did Bad Girls Club when I was 21, I'm 25 so I've matured a lot. And you're still going to see the same sassy, smart-mouthed Mehgan but this season you won't see me putting my hands on anyone.

MT: So what caused the tension between you and Draya?

MJ: I just feel like Draya doesn't like competition and I think she's used to being the star on the show but me coming onto Basketball Wives from Bad Girls Club, I already had a fan base. So I think I threatened her a little bit and it would have been in her best interest to be my friend because that would make me less relevant. But as long as my name's in your mouth you're creating relevance for me so I actually have to thank her for that.

MT: Did you try to befriend her at some point?

MJ: I did, you'll see that storyline throughout the show. I did really like Draya in the beginning but her true colors started to show.

MT: Why do you think she bad mouthed you? She used an acronym FUPA (Fat Upper P*ssy Area). Why did she say that about you?

MJ: I think she said it because Draya's super, super skinny so anything over a size 4 for her is fat. And it felt like it was just a way to degrade thicker women. I think she just has a few personal issues within herself and she has to talk down to others so that she feels better.

MT: The Shade Room had posted your response to K. Michelle's and Draya's awkward moment on BET. What did you mean by her saying she "forgets?"

MJ: She's one of those people that will stir the pot and then back away. Her excuse for everything is, oh I didn't say that or I don't remember saying that or that was so long ago. But your past always affects your future, my mom always told me that. And I don't think she's learned that lesson yet.

MT: Do you think it was petty for K. Michelle to bring it up at that moment?

MJ: No I love her! No, I feel like it was a perfect moment because people that are like that need to get blasted. You have to let people know sometimes, you have to put them in their place. I feel like K. Michelle did it at the perfect moment.

MT: Who's team Mehgan on the show? Which cast members have you befriended?

MJ: I'm pretty much friends with everyone on the cast, which is really surprising. It was a little rocky at first but they warmed up to me so I'm pretty cool with everyone.

MT: Are you currently dating now? Do you plan on having children soon or marriage?

MJ: I don't plan on doing any of that really anytime soon. I'm just really career focused right now and I'm still young. I just turned 25, I'm not 40 like everyone else. So I have time for all that.

MT: What do you want to do with your life? Besides reality TV, what are you putting your hands into?

MJ: As of right now, I have started two companies. One is called Fresh Pear Underwear. And then the other one is called Whipped Hair. I was known on Bad Girls Club for my weave, like my weave is always on fleek. So, I came out with my own hair and underwear line and then I also want to get into a little bit of acting eventually.

MT: Have there been any celebrities that approached you for a relationship?

MJ: I wouldn't say big names. I try to keep the people I talk to a little under the radar. Even though I'm on TV I don't like all of my business out. And so my DMs are popping but sometimes I'll just read them and don't reply.

MT: What has your family said about you getting back on reality TV? Were they trying to steer you away?

MJ: At first of course they tried to steer me away because I did my first reality TV show when I was in college. But after I graduated college they were more accepting of me doing whatever I wanted to because all my mom ever wanted was a college degree, so I got that for her and now she just leaves me alone.

MT: How's the LA life treating you?

MJ: To be honest, I don't really care for LA too much. It's just too much: the traffic is bad, the people are fake. Every time I can I go back to Houston. I love the south, I love southern people and how nice they are. I don't think I can get used to all this "Hollywood" thing. It's different.

MT: People were calling you out because you said you had a threesome with your sister. Is this your actual sister or is it your best friend that you call sister?

MJ: It was one of my good friends at the time and I called her my sis. I know that every woman has that group of girls or friend that's like, oh this is my sister. You know when you have kids and your best friend is the kids' aunt, they'll be like this is Aunt Mehgan. It was just a misunderstanding but of course people are going to think the worst.

MT: Are you still best friends with her?

MJ: We're still good friends, not best friends. But we're still friends.

MT: What made you decide to say hey, let's just do this with my man or was it her man? How did that come about?

MJ: She's a really, really pretty girl and I just trusted her. She was my closest friend and I felt like she wouldn't just go have sex with him as opposed to a stranger. So that's why I asked her. I feel like it makes sense.
