Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart Break Up Rumors Swirl as 'Twilight' Lovebirds Hit Up Private Golden Globes After-Party

Although "Twilight" lovebirds Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart appear to be going strong despite K-Stew's recent summer infidelity with her "Snow White and the Huntsman" director Rupert Sanders, rumors are swirling that the couple are inevitably headed for Splitsville once again. Apparently 22-year-old Stewart is trying a little too hard to regain R-Patz's love and attention, and the "Cosmopolis" star is just over it. The breakup rumors were fueled on Sunday, January 13 when 26-year-old Pattinson showed up to present at the Golden Globe Awards... solo. But maybe the couple just wants to keep their relationship under wraps this time around... Stewart was spotted hitting up a private Golden Globes after-party alongside her "Twilight" beau following the awards ceremony.

An alleged inside source for Hollywood Life claims, "Things with them aren't good. They've been fighting a lot. Rob isn't happy. It's just a matter of time before he ends this... Rob is at a point where he sometimes ignores her. He'll go out and won't respond to her calls or texts right away. Things will be strained for a while. She knows she has to go along with it. She is working hard at the relationship."

However, Hollywood Life isn't the most reliable source when it comes to celebrity gossip... so fans should always take what they read with a grain of salt. Despite reports that R-Patz's fam constantly gives him a hard time for getting back together with Stewart (apparently his overprotective older sisters believe he deserves to be with someone much better than a "cheat"), the couple seems to be going strong. They spent a romantic New Year's together on the U.K. Isle of Wight, and rumors have it that they might be searching to buy a home together in NYC AND London.

And although Stewart wasn't by her man's side when he presented the award for "Best Screenplay" for Quentin Taratino's "Django Unchained" alongside Amanda Seyfried at the 70th annual Golden Globe Awards, she did show up to an exclusive after-party in West Hollywood. E! News reporter Marc Malkin revealed on Twitter:

@marcmalkin: "Just got word that kristen stewart just joined Robert Pattinson at a super private post-@Goldenglobes VIP party. More to come."

Apparently, the "Panic Room" starlet showed up to Golden Globes presenters' Amy Poehler and Tina Fey's private after-party at the Soho House in West Hollywood late after the show (at around 1 a.m.). Pattinson arrived earlier in the night... and the two finally met up to enjoy the rest of the evening together.

Meanwhile, Hollywood Life reports that close friends of the couple believe their relationship "will be truly tested when they are forced to spend long periods apart on different film sets in the near future." According to the inside source, "If they are able to work out being apart while Kristen is filming then they have a shot."

So what do Mstarz fans think... are R-Patz and K-Stew in it together for the long-run?
