From the comedic mind of Beavis and Butt-head, HBO is receiving critical praise for Season 2 of Silicon Valley. Before Season 3 gets underway, the HBO comedy starring Richard Hendricks (Thomas Middleditch) and Erlich Bachman (T.J. Miller) has been nominated for the 2015 Emmy Awards.

In our previous recap, Big Head (Josh Brener) stumbled upon Nucleus's beta test and give it to Richard, which he used to get the upper-hand on Gavin Belson (Matt Ross). Unfortunately, it was in the courtroom where Erlich screwed up the game plan and revealed a secret. While taking the stand, Richard thought he had actually lost the case, while admitting to using Hooli property to work on his algorithm.

In our finale recap, much like the real-life story of Dick Costolo stepping down at Twitter, Richard found himself fired from his own company. Monica's Boss bought more seats as the board member of Pied Piper, which completely outvoted Richard and Erlich. After everything he worked hard for, dealing with night sweats, and finally winning the lawsuit against Hooli, Richard was kicked out of Pied Piper.

According to Deadline, Silicon Valley has been nominated for Outstanding Comedy Series, competing against Louie, Modern Family, Parks And Recreation, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Transparent, and Veep.

The episode Sand Hill Shuffle is also nominated for Outstanding Directing For A Comedy Series. This is the second season premiere, which finds Erlich and Richard dealing with the sudden death of their investor Peter Gregory (the late Christopher Evan Welch). By the end of the episode, problems continue to mount for Richard as Gavin Belson (Matt Ross) sues Pied Piper for supposedly "stealing his algorithm."

The show earned a nod as well for Outstanding Production Design For A Narrative Program (Half Hour Or Less) for episodes Sand Hill Shuffle, Homicide, and Adult Content
