We guess it really is "Mama's Broken Heart" for country singer couple Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton who are going to be getting a divorce after four years of marriage. Today they made a statement to The Associated Press, "This is not the future we envisioned and it is with heavy hearts that we move forward separately. We are real people, with real lives, with real families, friends and colleagues. Therefore, we kindly ask for privacy and compassion concerning this very personal matter," People reported. The couple got married back in Texas in 2011 after dating for six years. They both have kept it mostly quite on social media about the split, going so far as to only post about future career endeavors. Lambert very recently posted today on Twitter about her upcoming show, not long before the news of the couple's split was made public.

This isn't the first time the couple has made statements about their marriage. Around their third wedding anniversary Lambert, 31, said according to People, "Marriage is hard, and it's awesome, and you should make a huge deal of it. We always try to be together, I wouldn't want to be on opposite ends of the country on our anniversary! That time is sacred." Shelton, 39, at one point talked about trust in their relationship and how they shouldn't have any secrets. He openly allows Lambert to go through his phone, drawers and anything else because he wants her to have peace of mind and that "There are no secrets...that's been a really good thing, because I don't want her to ever have any doubts."

The couple had recently performed at an Independence Day country concert to fans who had absolutely no idea of their personal troubles. However, the couple has often had to deal with hideous rumors about the marriage for quite some time. It's a real shame to hear that the once adorable couple is splitting up but we hope we will still hear some awesome country music from both!
