For much of Season 3 of Arrow, fans had theorized that the Green Lantern would appear on the show in some form in the near future. But executive producer Marc Guggenheim is telling fans not to hold their breath for Season 4.

"They announced the 'Green Lantern Corps' movie, and I’d be surprised if it didn’t include Hal Jordan," Guggenheim told The Hollywood Reporter when asked if Hal could show up in the fourth season. "It would be great but I doubt it very much."

Other fans have kicked around the idea that Diggle could actually become the John Stewart version of the Green Lantern. These fans have proposed that his name is actually John Diggle Stewart or John Stewart Diggle.

Fans of Arrow were hyped for the show's panel appearance at Comic-Con 2015, and star Stephen Amell rewarded them by showing up in the new Green Arrow costume!

The Season 3 finale of Arrow introduced, in a manner of speaking, Damien Darhk, the nemesis of Ra's al Ghul. We now know that Neal McDonough will portray the character in Season 4!

TVLine, which reported the casting news, describes the character as “a mysterious and sophisticated villain, and an adversary of the late Ra’s Al Ghul. Now the leader of his own clandestine group, this cunning foe will prove to be one of the Arrow’s greatest challenges.”

Season 3 divided many fans, as some were unhappy with the focus on Oliver and Felicity's on-again, off-again romance. Amell spoke with TV Junkies about Season 4 and offered some vague teases about what to expect from the two characters when the fourth season begins.

"Well they’ve been away," Amell said. "They are away and I believe they are still away when we get going again." The Season 3 finale ended with Oliver and Felicity literally riding off into the sunset, and many fans have speculated that they were on their way to Coast City.

In the comics, Oliver winds up with Black Canary, aka Laurel Lance. But will the show keep Oliver and Felicity together instead? "Well you never know, but I think if anyone has a decent chance it’s Oliver and Felicity," he said. "Time will tell."

Amell also clarified his recent comments that Season 4 begins with a time jump. It seems that, as per usual, the time jump will only reflect the actual, real-world passage of time between seasons.

"When I said there was a time jump people were like, ‘Oh my God, really?’" Amell said. "I didn’t think that was very spoilery because the show has always followed chronologically when we air. Whenever we’ve taken a break and go off the air from May til October, when we leave it’s May and when we come back it’s October."

Finally, Amell talked about what he is looking forward to in the fourth season. "It still feels like our show but there are different elements that I think people are going to enjoy," he said. "We get to see some characters interact that weren’t always the closest of friends or interacting on a regular basis which is neat when you’re doing new stuff in the fourth season of a show."
