The highly-anticipated NWA biopic "Straight Outta Compton" officially hits theaters on August 14 (2015). So, will Dr. Dre and Ice Cube team-up again for an epic reunion tour if the film succeeds? If so, rumors suggest that Detroit emcee Eminem would even perform as an "honorary member" of the hip-hop supergroup!

In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Universal Pictures chief Donna Langley hypes the new gangsta rap movie:

"I've always been very intrigued by the [NWA] story... It was really just about finding a rational business model with which to greenlight it."

But is there enough interest to a schedule a few concert gigs?

"We don't have anything settled yet with everyone's schedules," Langley reveals. "But we think it can create a lot of buzz."

Especially if Shady steps-in for the late Eazy-E (who died in 1995 due to complications stemming from AIDS).

How many MstarsNews readers anticipate a worldwide tour to follow? Maybe Snoop Dogg will even make an appearance!

Meanwhile, the infamous "Rap God" continues promoting the upcoming release of "Southpaw" (out July 24):

eminem: "Me and the one and only champ, Billy "The Great" Hope. #Southpaw advance screening in Detroit. Pre-order the soundtrack on @AppleMusic."

Perhaps it's time for the 42-year-old MMLP2 superstar to hit the road again. He's already supposedly featured on the "Straight Outta Compton" soundtrack:

"Dr. Dre, it took him 15 years to step out and say, 'I want to do music again' in the way that he's doing it. The soundtrack is insane. Seriously, it's incredible," director F. Gary Gray recently told MTV News. "He went deep and you can hear some of his influences, with jazz and soul and a little bit of funk. And Kendrick Lamar is on, Eminem - a lot of great guest stars. But it's really Dre and how he's evolved and how he's matured as not only a person, but as an artist. It's deep and it's great."

Stay tuned as more details develop.
