'Pretty Little Liars' Heartthrob Brandon Jones Stars in 'Monolith'

Brandon Jones is still not a household name, but by the look of those arms and his sexy dimples he should be! The Pretty Little Liars star is currently filming a thriller movie, Monolith, in Kanab, Utah alongside Andrea Ellsworth (The Mindy Project), Justine Wachsberger (Divergent) and Demetrius Daniels (Day Zero).

The film follows our main character, played by Jones, and his mother who "plan a surprise visit to Los Angeles to see her husband/his father. Halfway there they get into a terrible accident in the middle of nowhere and now must fight to survive," according to IMDB. The film is written and directed by Ivan Silvestrini. The location for the film is perfect for the premise of a really creepy thriller, reminiscent of Children of the Corn, Jeepers Creepers and The Hills Have Eyes.The location, Kanab, "calls itself 'Little Hollywood' because of hundreds of movies and TV shows were filmed in the area — from Tom Mix in 1924 to The Lone Ranger in 1950s to Sergeants 3 (The Rat Pack goofs in the old west). Later productions include Maverick, The Flintstones, Broken Arrow, The Six Million Dollar Man, and both the 1968 and 2001 versions of Planet Of The Apes," says Advisor. Filming here on location should really set the tone and feel for a movie like this and can only emphasize the eeriness and tension that can only become emulated through the lens.

Jones's appearance on Pretty Little Liars has really set him up for his leading role in Monolith. Pretty Little Liars, going on its 6th season this year, is a show of intrigue and mystery as well. There is a large cast of characters and every season a crime or two. The audience is constantly wondering, "Who can I trust? Which character did it? Who had the motive?" It's been an interesting show for a number of years and although it has some traditional soap opera tropes of earlier shows like Beverly Hills: 90210, One Tree Hill, and the like, it has a Sherlock Holmes/James Patterson novel element to it as well. Jones plays Andrew Campbell who showed up for the series in 2013.
