The latest celebs to fall victim to the infamous (yet potentially dangerous) swatting prank phone call hoax... the Kardashian clan. According to several reports, police swarmed the L.A. home of Kris and Bruce Jenner on Friday, Jan. 18 after law enforcement received a fake 911 call from an "armed intruder" who was allegedly hiding inside of a closet in the private Hidden Hills residence. It turns out the entire thing was a hoax and everyone in the Kardashian family is safe... former Olympic star Bruce Jenner even posed with a number of police officers after they concluded a thorough search of the home. Although the pregnant Kim Kardashian was not present at the time of the incident, she quickly hit up Twitter to insist that such prank calls are definitely "NOT funny" and should never be taken lightly.

TMZ reports that the L.A. County Sheriff's department responded to a 911 call on Friday evening that reported an emergency at the Kardashians' home in Hidden Hills. The swatting caller insisted that someone was shot inside the house and that armed suspects were still inside.

The police responded in full force... the entire street was locked down and several helicopters and street cops were ready to meet the alleged intruder with machine guns and other weapons in-hand. At least 15 officers were on site for the call and conducted a thorough search of the home, which turned up nothing suspicious. Kris, Bruce, and their two youngest daughters Kendall and Kylie were home at the time and were told to wait outside by patrol cars while the seach was conducted.

Following the bogus 911 call, 17-year-old Kendall Jenner tweeted:

@KendallJenner: "I love it when 8 police officers show up at my door and 10 cop cars are outside my house. Just another casual Friday evening at the Jenner household. #nbd #EveryonesOk... kids are really stupid. you know you can get arrested for something like this? #pointless lol."

Kim K (who recently announced that she is expecting her first child with Kanye West) also tweeted:

@KimKardashian: "Just got a call from my mom telling me about this prank call that someone was shot in their home & 15 swat team & 3 helicopters showed up! These prank calls are NOT funny! People can get arrested for this! I hope they find out who is behind this. It's dangerous & not a joke!"

Fox 8 News reports that just the next day, police were called to the Kardashians' former Malibu home after someone reported another false 911 call. The house was found empty.

Swatting is when a "911 abuser" attempts to trick law enforcement to dispatch units by calling in a serious crime, which only proves to be a false alarm in the end. Such swatting can lead to some serious repercussions, including arrest and prosecution for "false allegation." Other celebs victim of bogus 911 calls include Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, and Tom Cruise.
