Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom might have finally moved on with their divorce proceedings as it was previously reported that they signed the divorce papers earlier this month, while they were both visiting Las Vegas. However, while they are splitting, Kardashian is revealing that it definitely wasn't an easy decision to come to. In fact, many were looking at the star quizzically, as she split from Odom in 2013 and took over a year and a half to officially file for divorce. However, she explains her reasoning for that, stating that marriage is definitely not something she takes lightly.

According to Us Weekly, Khloe explained that when it came down to her marriage she was not willing to give up on it and did everything she could to keep it intact.

"When you genuinely feel like that was the right relationship, you're supposed to give it all you can. That's what marriage is about," the star explained in the new issue of Complex magazine. "It's not, 'Let's see if it works, if not we always have divorce.' I am not one of those girls. You took a vow before God and you're supposed to abide by that."

The star further explains her decision to take the time to officially sign the divorce papers, saying that she had no deadline as to when she had to file them so she decided to take her time and contemplate if it was the right choice.

"I'm not rushing into my divorce because I'm not looking to get married tomorrow, the KUWTK star explained. "I don't have a deadline. I'm not rushing it. So when it's time and it's supposed to happen, it will."

She also mentioned that despite her moving on to other men, that she will always have a special place in her heart for Lamar.

"Oh my god, I miss him every day," Khloe explained. "I miss what we had — things we got together are just memories. I like looking back and holding on to that stuff."
