Caitlyn Jenner paid tribute to two slain transgendered women on her website Wednesday July 29, 2015. India Clarke, 25, was found dead near a playground in Florida on July 25 and K.C. Haggard was stabbed to death in Fresno, California back on July 23. On Jenner's post, not only did she offer condolences to the families of these two women, she also spoke on recent tragedies that have befallen the community.

According to Jenner, 11 trans women have been killed in the United States in the past six months and most were women of color.

"Last week two transgender women were murdered named India Clarke and K.C. Haggard," Jenner wrote. "11 trans women have been killed in the United States in the past six months - most of them trans women of color. My condolences to those who loved India, K.C., and all of the other victims. No one should be killed simply because they are transgender."

According to the Advocate, Haggard's murder is being investigated as a homicide. Karen Adell Scott of TransCare feels differently. During an interview with KFSN, she says it was a hate crime.

Orange is the New Black Star Lavarne Cox shared a picture of Clarke on her Instagram page. Cox says the average life expectancy of a Trans woman is 35 years old and that's why she has taken up the mantle as a speaker for the community.

@Regrann from @chernobiko - As if #SandraBland wasn't enough heartbreak this week the 10th Trans Women of Color to be lynched this year was found earlier today in Tampa FL. She was only 25 years old and clearly into all things beauty hair and makeup just like me. I can't help but feel like I'm next. That's why I do the work I do because the avg. life expectancy for someone like me is only 35 years old. This is why I always quote Lucille Clifton "Won't you celebrate with me that everyday something has tried to kill me and has failed". I know I just relaunched #BackingBiko but no shade the best birthday gift would be for yall to stop killing us. Just because we have a couple rich and famous trans people doesn't mean the work is over. We must #SayHerName #IndiaClarke. #BlackLivesMatter #TransIsBeautiful #CaitlynJenner #m4bl #TransGriot #KindraChapman #Regrann
