This week, Wilmer Flores believed he was traded to the Milwaukee Brewers for the one-time Mets prospect, Carlos Gomez. While on the field, Flores started balling out crying after hearing about the alleged trade news. Turns out the whole thing was a sham and the man who spent 7 years in the New York Mets system got caught up in the moment over a rumor. Following his breakdown, Mets manager Terry Collins had choice words for the rumor mill. According to him, it was a lot of "BS" to have his player believe he was traded.

"To be politically correct, there's a lot of BS out there -- a lot of it," he said. "The kid comes off the field tonight. He hears he's traded. He's upset by it, and I don't know anything about it. So I went down and said, 'Listen, I don't know what's going, but you've got a game to play. Let's go play baseball. This is part of the business.

"You guys think these guys are stone-cold robots," Collins continued. "They're not. They're human beings who have emotions. "Everybody's got a telephone. Everybody's on it. I don't even know why anybody comes anymore. They ought to just sit home, watch games on TV and on their cell phones."

During the game, Collins pulled an emotional Flores aside and gave him a pep talk. Collins said he had a game to play and he is the team's best shortstop option.

One of the guys questioning the Flores trade rumor as it was going down was announcer Gary Cohen. Cohen, watching an emotional Flores play, said it was odd for him to still be on the field despite the alleged trade going down. According to him, players don't play when this happens. In the end he was right. He shot down the trade rumors before everyone else officially shot them down.

Who's pumped about being back home? THIS GUY. #LGM
