Fans who have been following the DC TV universe know that Hawkman will appear on both Arrow and The Flash before he appears on DC's Legends of Tomorrow. Now we know that actor Falk Hentschel has been cast in the role!

Comic Book Movie notes that this version of the character is "the latest reincarnation of an Egyptian Prince who is fated to reincarnate throughout time along with his soulmate, Kendra Saunders (portrayed by Ciara Renee). Like Kendra, Carter can access the powers of the Hawk God, Horus, transforming him into the winged warrior known as Hawkman."

The main villain of next season of Arrow will be Damien Darhk, played by Neal McDonough. Guggenheim offered the first in-depth look at the character in a recent interview with Access Hollywood in which he revealed that Darhk is the most evil villain yet on the show.

"Damien's a different kind of villain than we've had on the show before. He's not as centurion as Ra's, he's not as looney tune as Slade, he's not as -- and people will be surprised I use this word -- but he's not as noble as Malcolm Merlyn. He's pure evil," he said. "We wanted someone who was truly, truly malevolent. We've never done that on the show before. All of our big bads always thought they were doing…the wrong thing for the right reason. This guy does the wrong thing for the wrong reasons."

The executive producer also implied that Darhk will arrive relatively quickly in Season 4. "It's a bad situation to have this guy coming in. And the other thing that we're doing that's different is in past seasons, you've had to wait 'til usually the mid-season finale to meet the big bad and have Oliver confront the big bad. We are coming out of the gate strong," he said. "We're not waiting and actually, that itself has really energized the show and it infuses even the 'villain of the week' episodes with an epic-ness that they wouldn't otherwise have."

In other news, Arrow introduced Oliver's son back in Season 2, and the crossover with The Flash followed up on that plot thread. Guggenheim has said we won't see Ollie's son again, at least not in Season 4, but star Stephen Amell remains hopeful.

“Me personally being a dad, I would love to see how Oliver interacts with having a kid," he told Screen Rant. "Now obviously, it would be a different experience from that experience, but I think that that storyline deserves further attention. One of the big tenets of Greg Berlanti is you don’t introduce something to the audience and you don’t tease it if you are not going to follow through with it in some way, shape or form. So I think it’s a safe bet that Oliver will find out about his child at some point.”
