'Sun Belt Express' Movie: WATCH Tate Donovan, Ana De La Reguer Clip Ahead Digital HD/VOD!

From MarVista Entertainment comes a comedy/drama road movie about one man's backwards moral journey.Check out this clip from Sun Belt Express, starring Tate Donovan, India Ennenga, Ana de la Reguera, Miguel Sandoval and Rachael Harris, which will be available on Digital HD and VOD this August.

According to the plot synopsis by The Hollywood Reporter, the film is set somewhere in the Sonoran Desert, just south of Tucson, Arizona. Allen King (Donovan) is a down-on-his-luck professor who agrees to earn some extra cash by smuggling undocumented immigrants across the border. When his curious teenage daughter Emily (Ennenga) sneaks into the trunk of his car, Allen finds himself on an unhinged run across the Mexican border. With his daughter in tow, a former girlfriend (De La Reguera), and three undocumented immigrants in the trunk, everyone ends up in a road trip full of surprises and revelations that will change their lives forever.

In an interview with Indiewire, writer/director Evan Buxbaum describes how the production went down, "How did a white kid from the not-so-mean-streets of the Upper West Side end up making a film about illegal immigration? The truth is - it found me. I've worked in several bars over the years, and many of my co-workers have been immigrants. I've heard the wildest stories, but perhaps the most shocking thing is that many of the stories were, against all odds, funny."

Buxbaum adds, "It's a remarkable, transformative sort of comedy, about the triumph of humor in the most difficult of situations, and I couldn't help thinking: there's a story in there that needs to be told."

With Ana de la Reguera on the rise, the Mexican stunner captured audiences with her role as the conniving criminal, Vanessa Cruz, on NBC' very own The Blacklist. We can't wait to see what she does in the highly anticipated Netflix crime/drug drama, Narcos, which is set for binge-watching on August 28.

Sun Belt Express will be available will be available on Digital HD and VOD August 18.
