OVO Fest Shooting Leaves 2 People Dead, Others Injured: Drake & Meek Mill Beef the Cause?

MStars News has learned that two people, a male and a female are dead after bullets went flying in a shooting during Drake's OVO Fest after party at Muzik in Toronto. Are we to blame this on his beef with rapper Meek Mill?

According to Billboard, the shooting happened around 3:30 am on Monday night, leaving three others injured, all of whom were transported to different hospitals.

Toronto Police Superintendent Frank Bergen stated to the press: "this is a sporadic shooting that did occur just before 3:30 this morning at 15 Saskatchewan. It's the Muzik Nightclub. A well-run event with lots of police officers in and around the area, culminating on a large evening event that occurred over at the OVO Festival."

Bergen revealed that one victim died on the scene and the other was pronounced dead at the hospital. Bergen described the victims to be in their 20s and 30s, but did not give more details.

The shooting is still an ongoing investigation. The same thing happened back in 2014 during that OVO Fest, where Bergen reflected and said:

“We’re satisfied at this point that the organization involved was doing their best and this did occur at 3:30 this morning as things were shutting down for the evening.”

The cause of the shooting is still unknown. There isn't anything reported so far that leds to the ongoing beef between the two rappers, Drake and Meek Mill. MStars News previously reported Toronto native, Drake dissed Meek Mill with is hit freestyle "Back to Back," during his concert on Monday night.

The deadly party was open to the public where doors open at 10 p.m. following the festival, and was promoted as "The official OVO fest after-party, hosted by Drake with music by Charlie B." "What occurred originally in the bar area had spilled out into the streets so south and north of this area we do have three separate crimes scenes," Bergen also said in a statement. He added, "At this point we do know for certain that one or two [shootings] were in the nightclub and we believe the others were outside of that area.

This is all unfolding now and we're doing our investigation." It's unclear if Drake was inside of Muzik when the shooting happened, TMZ claims.  More details will be reported soon. The video above apparently showed some type of an arrest.
