'The X-Files' Revival Spoilers: David Duchovny, Gillian Anderson, Annet Mahendru Meet Sveta?

Back by popular demand, the iconic sci-fi/horror series is returning with a major change on  Fox. In the revival of The X-Files, have paranormal investigators Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) and Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson) "broken up" because of Seta (Annet Mahendru)?

As we previously mentioned, 13 years have passed since FBI agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully were on the TV screen solving weird and supernatural cases. The reboot of Fox's popular sci-fi series continues with 6 brand new episodes. Not only are the leads set to reprise their iconic roles, creator Chris Carter will takeover as showrunner for the franchise that launched his and many other careers.

According to Entertainment Weekly, during the Television Critics Association's press tour in Beverly Hills, footage was presented. In the scene, Mulder (Duchovny) and Scully (Anderson) are in the midst of a major blow-out fight when they make the revelation the duo are no longer together.

In the dialogue, Scully describes herself as "your friend and physician" to Mulder. During the first season, audiences wanted to know if Mulder and Scully will have a romantic relationship instead of a platonic one. Viewers tuned in episode after episode wondering, "Will they or won't they?" They appeared in bed together on the most famous cover of Rolling Stone magazine.

In the conclusion of The X-Files: I Want To Believe, they decided to run away together and leave the conspiracies behind. What could have led to their break-up?

According to Zap2it, the description of the scene continues with Scully warning Mulder he's on "dangerous ground." Obsessed with the truth, Mulder reveals Sveta (Mahendru) is a victim of alien abduction.

Mulder warns Scully, "She's the key to everything. Sveta is the key."
