#MikeBrown: Ferguson 1-Year Anniversary Sparks Twitter Reactions, Online Trends

Today marks the one-year anniversary of the murder of unarmed black teenager Mike Brown in Ferguson, Missouri, at the hands of police officer Darren Wilson. The incident sparked a nationwide conversation, and debate, about white-on-black murders, specifically with the former falling under the profession of police officers. And now, the hashtag #MikeBrown is trending online with a number of celebrities and supporters sharing their thoughts on Twitter.

Comb through the trends online and you'll find several opinions on what went down in Ferguson. Several people have admitted that since the murder of the 18-year-old they’ve been pushed to further “do more” in their actions to try and stop racism in America:

Sadly, some do not feel as if the riots have done much to slow down and stop the racist subculture of the United States, specifically with reports of more murders and agressive approaches occurring throughout the country, such as with both Eric Garner and Sandra Bland.
