Los Angeles currently maintains a steady 59-51 winning record and remains 2nd in the American League Western Division.

White Sox (19): "The Sox stood pat at the deadline with their biggest trade chip, Jeff Samardzija, who closed July on a streak of 10 straight starts of seven innings or more. Since Aug. 1, the Sox are 2-6 and Samardzija has covered just 9.1 innings, with a 15.43 ERA, in two starts." James Fegan, The Catbird Seat

With that, Chicago holds a 51-58 winning record and now holds the 4th spot in the American League Central Division.
