Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice will introduce The Dark Knight to the DC Cinematic Universe, but is it possible that Ben Affleck could star in more solo Batman movies of his own? According to a new rumor, the answer is a resounding yes!
Den of Geek reports that Warner Bros. higher-ups and the film's crew saw a "near-finished" cut of the movie, and they gave it a standing ovation when it was done. And out of this screening, the Warner Bros. executives were so impressed with Affleck's performance that they are working on a deal to have him star in a trilogy of standalone Batman films.
"Basically, Warners are now working their movie universe around Ben's Batman," a source told the site. This source added that Warner Bros. sees Affleck as the "definitive Batman" and he would star in any future movies that involve the Dark Knight.
A recent spread in Empire Magazine has brought even more attention to the already highly-anticipated film. Batman-News combed through the feature and pulled out the following 18 details about the movie:
Zack Snyder, his producer wife Deborah, and producer Charles Roven are overseeing the entire DC Extended Universe.
