'Teen Mom 2' Jenelle Evans Custody Battle Almost Over? Moving Closer To Mom & Son!

Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Evans has had a long custody battle with her mother, Barbara Evans for her son, Jace. Even though the MTV star served her mom with court papers, it seems that she is trying to become closer to her family after splitting up with on again/off again fiancé Nathan Griffith.

"Jenelle is planning on moving back closer to her mom and her friends," a source close to the reality star told The Real Mr. Housewife. "By moving, Jenelle will be closer to her son, Jace."

It's not too surprising that Jenelle has been on good terms with Barbara. One of the biggest issues in their relationship was Nathan and now that he's out of the picture they can become closer. On top of that, the controversial cable star recently thanked her mom on Instagram for supporting her when it came to her schooling.

"And of course thanks to my mother for always motivating me to be independent and to chase my goals no matter what obstacles may come up," she captioned along with a photo posing with Barbara and Jace at her college graduation.

As MStars News reported, Jenelle's fight in court for custody of her son hit a bump in the road when the hearing was postponed to a later date.

"Jenelle's hearing was continued until November," a source told Radar Online. "These cases take time. It isn't an easy thing to get custody back and Jenelle has an uphill battle."

While her relationship with Nathan was toxic, it seems being together would've helped get custody of Jace sooner.

"It was good when Jenelle was with Nathan because it showed a stable household, but that has changed now that they're broken up," the source continued. "She has a long way to go to get custody back but she's trying really hard."
