Easily one of the most intriguing elements of the upcoming Disney and Lucasfilm blockbuster, Star Wars: The Force Awakens is Kylo Ren, portrayed by Adam Driver. This cross-guard lightsaber toting villain is definitely reminiscent of the most popular Sith Lord in the franchise of movies, but what other Darth Vader comparisons can we expect when Episode VII's December 18, 2015 release date arrives? According to a new Entertainment Weekly feature on the film, J.J. Abrams is opening up about Ren and the other characters we'll see in theaters this holiday season. Find out more details below. "I think that what makes Ren so unique is that he isn't as fully formed as when we meet a character such as Darth Vader...I think that there are two sides to the Force. Both sides, arguably, would see themselves as the hero of their story, and I think that applies here," Abrams said of the mysterious, lightsaber wielding villain, according to Gamma Squad. This could mean that we'll see a different side of the popular New Hope story that followed Luke Skywalker in the original trilogy. Is Ren the anti-Luke?

According to Slash Film, Abrams explains that Ren sees the First Order in a different light than the audience. Though we know that Han Solo and his group are going up against the First Order, so therefore they are the bad guys, Ren doesn't believe this. Thus, there are two sides to the story.
