Ciara has just stepped her way onto the cover of the September issue of Shape magazine and boy is she looking flawless. The 29-year-old star might have just given birth in the past year, but you wouldn't suspect that the "Goodies" singer carried a baby inside her belly for nine-months, not with the body she is showing off in the new magazine spread. While the starlet is currently promoting her new single "Dance Like We're Making Love," she did give some fitness and dieting tips on how she got her body back into tip top shape post-baby, not to mention she lost 60 pounds along the way and made a new bestie in Taylor Swift.

While we are sure that it would take us at least four years to lose anywhere close to 60 lbs., Ciara tells Shape that it was her intense workout regime, and her willpower that got her looking her best in no time.

"As soon as the doctor said I could start training again, I was on the treadmill the very next day," Ciara tells the mag. "Once I got back into it, I worked out two or three times daily. I would go to Gunnar [Peterson] first for my one-hour training session, then I'd have two more cardio sessions later in the day. That, along with a really clean eating plan, was how I lost 60 pounds in four months. It was a very intense program, and I was extremely focused on it."

As for her clean eating plan, Ciara says that it isn't about depriving yourself of junk food but knowing that "the food isn't going anywhere," that helped her maintain the diet.

"When I'm on a strict eating regimen, at some point I have to have French fries, a cheeseburger, and some pizza. And Oreos and vanilla ice cream!" the star says. "I also believe that drinking tons of water and flushing out your system is crucial for training. It really helped me drop the weight. I tell myself that water is my medicine and that to stay well, I have to drink a gallon of it every day."

Not only has Ciara scored the cover of the new issue of Shape, but also it seems like she has found herself a new bestie in Taylor Swift, as the singer brought Ciara and hubby Russell Wilson onstage at her 1989 concert in Seattle over the weekend. Taylor even took to her Twitter to post a picture from the show.
