Kim Richards of 'RHOBH' Hospitalized & Put on 5150 Hold After Arrest & Rehab Stint

It looks like some good news has come today in regards to Kim Richards. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star has been having a tough go of it lately as she was arrested twice within the last couple of months -- first for relapsing and resisting arrest and then second for shoplifting from Target. The star has caused her family to go into worry mode about her behavior and have been trying to get the former child star some help, following her short rehab stint earlier this summer. Today, it looks like they have finally made some progress as the RHOBH star has been hospitalized and placed on a 5150 hold. A 5150 is a 72-hour hold where a person who is deemed a danger to themselves or others is transported to the hospital and placed under psychiatric observation for three days.

According to Radar Online, the RHOBH starlet was put on a hold last week where she was hospitalized. The star was put on the 72-hour confinement by Richards' family who has been extremely worried about her after recent events.

"They were at the end of their rope trying to get her help and decided to force her to get it," the insider explained to the news site.

It seems that the hold might have finally gotten through to the former housewife, who has reportedly decided to get help following her hospitalization.

"Kim finally realized that she needed help and is truly committed to getting it," Extra TV reports. "She voluntarily checked into an inpatient facility in Orange County. The family has been very supportive of this move."

It seems that what has really made Kim want to get help is that the family threatened to cut her off financially, according to The Inquistr.

"They told her she had to do it or she was cut off from all of them financially," the source explained to Radar. "It is tough love."
