Eminem helped out the family of late rapper Sean Price during their financial harship by lending his support with a $10,000 donation. The loved ones of the Duck Down Music signee, who passed away in his sleep a few weeks ago on Aug. 8, have been struggling with many of the expenses left behind. The Shady Records head honcho recently teamed up with his label, donating the large amount of money to 43-year-old Price’s family via their CrowdRise fundraising campaign.

The huge donation from Marshall Mathers and his team is helping the family to “move forward.” They have now officially raised $86,318 through the online campaign.

Fans still are not sure as to how Sean Price died, but authorities did say that it was unexpectedly in his sleep at his Brooklyn home. The manager of Eminem, Paul Rosenberg, spoke out previously of Price’s death just after hearing the news:

"I swear I just told Marshall [Eminem] on Thursday that Sean was my current favorite. I hung on every word in his verses,” he spoke of the tragedy.

Even producer Just Blaze shared his thoughts on the loss, having been speaking with Price on Twitter the day before. "He was really one of the most genuinely funny people that I knew. You know a lot of rappers have fake charisma? Where they can turn it on when the cameras are on, but that's not really them? He was just the same dude all the time,” he told NPR.

Price, a native of Brooklyn, NY, was most famous for his album titled Monkey Barz under his own solo government name, as well as being one half of the duo Heltah Skeltah, where he went by the name Ruck, with his partner Rock. The two released three projects between the years of 1996-2008.

Price also released two other albums during his own solo career, titled Jesus Price Supastar in 2007, and Mic Tyson in 2012.
