E! News took a gamble earlier this year when they decided to switch up the panel on the popular nighttime talk show. The series decided earlier this summer that they would be replacing longtime host, Giuliana Rancic, with former Extra host, Maria Menuonos. While many were skeptical of the decision, it seems like it has worked out in Menounos' favor, as she has brought the series to higher ratings in her first week on board than Rancic saw during her last week on the program. The gals were rumored to have been in a feud following news the Giuliana was being replaced by Maria, but it looks like in the race for top shot, Menounos has been victorious for now.

According to Radar Online, the series saw a pretty significant increase in the number of viewers between Giuliana's final week from August 3 to August 9 and Maria's first week from August 10 to the 16.

The ratings that Rancic scored for her last couple of shows averaged 444,000 viewers, while Maria increased that by 23 percent, scoring an average of 546,000 viewers for her first couple of shows on the network.

The numbers are also an increase on the numbers from last year when the show drew 479,000 viewers in the same week.

As we previously reported, Giuliana and Maria weren't reportedly on the best terms when Rancic left her post and sent an email out to Maria saying that she had some big shoes to fill.

However, it looks like Maria has not only filled them, but upgraded them to a bigger size. Yet, this doesn't mean that Giuliana's fans will have to be bidding farewell to the star as she has already agreed to be part of the Live From the Red Carpet series, as well as Fashion Police on the network.

Maria also took to her Instagram account to post about what a fun first day she had on the air.

Congrats to Maria on the awesome numbers!
