Ronda Rousey Next UFC Fight Vs. Holly Holm MMA Match Scheduled for Jan. 2, 2016

Ronda Rousey spoke with the hosts of Good Morning America this week about her recent 34-second knock-out win over Bethe Correia, but she also made a big announcement regarding her next UFC fight. The undefeated champion fighter is scheduled to face former world boxing champion Holly Holm in one of the biggest MMA matches ever on January 2, 2016. Holm, who signed with UFC in July of 2014, is the toughest competitors that Rousey will face, which is something the champion admitted this week! Read more about this sports news below.

According to our friends out at UPROXX Sports, Holm is definitely a force in UFC worth some worry for Rousey fans. She's described, by everyone including Rousey, as the best striker in Women's MMA, and has won 18 world championships in three different weight classes in her previous boxing career.

When asked by the hosts on how she'd prepare for this new fight, Rousey gave a very humble answer.

"Well I prepare for a five round war every time I get in there, no one's easy until after you beat them. And with Holly Holm, she's the type that can go 12 boxing rounds," she explained. "It's not the average chick I would fight. She's the best striker I've ever fought and striking is something I've learned much later in my career. And so, I don't expect fights to be easy and fast. In fact, no one knows how the fights are going to go and that's why everyone buys them."
