New 'Game of Thrones' Season 6 SPOILERS: Set Photos Show Maisie Williams, Is Arya Stark Blind?

Game of Thrones Season 6 is still several long months away, but on the bright side, we get to look through numerous set photos and read spoilers until that time comes. The latest photos show Maisie Williams wading into some water, but does this mean that Arya Stark is still blind?

In the Season 5 finale, Arya used one of the faces in the basement of the House of Black and White to murder Meryn Trant. But when she returned, Jaqen informed her that using the faces before you are ready has consequences, and Arya lost her sight. as her eyes turned a milky white.

It's unclear from the set photos if Arya is still blind, as Williams as her eyes closed in each of them, but the smart money says the character still cannot see. This begs the question: Why is the blind girl going for what appears to be a leisurely swim? We'll have to wait a long time to find out.

Lest we forget, Williams told Entertainment Weekly back in June that she knew the twist was coming. "Somebody on the street will go, ‘Oh, you’re going blind,’” she said. “And I wanted to keep them guessing. I love keeping everything a surprise. So I’m always like, ‘Am I? Oh my God! Did I not get the memo?’”

But now she has to worry about what happens in Season 6, when the show will likely diverge the most it has from the books. And the young actress has a surprising fear about next year. “I don’t want to wear these crazy contacts for the rest of my time on Thrones!” she said. “I don’t know how...that will impede her life. She’s going to become very vulnerable thanks to that. It’s exciting and scary. So I’m worried about next year.”

And on a final note, Williams pointed out that she has the same anxieties that we fans do about the the fates of the characters on the series. ”[Showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss] treated me to a pizza and I just sat there asking questions and they won’t answer anything,” Williams said. “It’s heartbreaking, it’s petrifying.”
