Darien Long, ATL Mall Cop Gets $20,000: Taser Mother, Fights Drug Dealers And Hooligans Outside Atlanta's Metro Mall [VIDEO]

Darien Long's fans raised $20,000 after a posted video was released of him tasering a violent woman outside Atlanta's Metro Mall. The security guard is being praised for fighting off troublemakers and for not given in to the violent threats.

The five minute footage was captured by a camera on the security guard's uniform. Following protocol, Long asked people to leave area they were crowding. The angry men could be heard yelling and threatening follow him home and began throwing object at him. In the five minute video two mothers were seen pushing and yelling at Long saying, "Don't yell at my motherf***ing kids! You'll get beat!"

Doing his job to make his community safer he told Atlanta news station WSB-TV, "I feel like the taser and the camera are the two most effective tools that I have. Do what you're supposed to do or you get what's coming to you." Long added, "What you do is clean up the neighborhood so other businesses can come in and downtown Atlanta can prosper."
One supporter along with many believes that what Long did was noble and commends him on fighting back with hooligans that think they are above the law, "This is basically what we deal with every day," Resident Daniel Van Briesen told the station. "For it to happen in the shadow of the capital building and the courthouse is a bit ridiculous."

Reddit launched an online fundraiser after the whole ordeal, which is currently up to $20,000. The two women who attacked Long have been charged with disorderly conduct, criminal trespassing, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and simple battery.
