Instagram star The Fat Jew has recently come under fire for claims that he has stolen material from comedians over the years and posted them as his own without giving the comics any credit. While the likes of Patton Oswalt, Paul Scheer, and more, have spoken out against the performance artist, he has now finally decided to say something back.

Vulture recently spoke with The Fat Jew, or The Fat Jewish, a.k.a. Josh Ostrovsky, detailing the unfortunate headlines he currently finds himself in.

"There's definitely part of me that feels remiss that I didn't realize the platform had grown so much, especially as my voice got louder," The Fat Jew says of Instagram. He further tells the publication that he's agreed to go back through his material, and if he cannot "find a source" he'll take down the material.

"I want to put a light on people who say funny stuff, just like I want to put a light on how terrible of a dresser Adam Sandler is. It's good for me, and it's good for the Internet."

When pressed about whether or not he believes to understand why people assumed the material he was posting was in fact his own, he says that over all the years on Instagram he's maintained that reputation of being "a commentator," further calling himself "at the forefront of what's cool and what's hot and what's funny."

Sadly, for him, some comedians just seem to think he's being a "f*cking d*ck" – like Rob Huebel.
