Ronda Rousey Coach Mike Dolce Defends Holly Holm from MMA Fans [WATCH]

The fight world was caught by surprise when Ronda Rousey announced her next opponent would be the 9-0 Holly Holm and not rival Miesha Tate. Tate was probably the most surprised out of everyone because she wasn't told about the changes until we all found out. Since then, Holm has been at the butt-end of criticism by MMA fans. To many, Holm isn't qualified to face Rousey despite being undefeated. One person in particular who thinks otherwise is Rousey's own coach Mike Dolce.

The coach makes the claim that Holm is more than qualified for the fight.

"I see her getting bashed on the Internet. Why do you bash this young lady? Because she's worked her tail off to get where she's at?" Dolce said.

"She's undefeated. She certainly deserves to be in the [title-picture] conversation. Now, to jump over Miesha for the title shot? That's a conversation. I think Miesha deserved to be the No. 1 contender or at least in that conversation. But having two cracks at Ronda already, I can see why Miesha was taken out of the equation and Holly was put in."

Holm, much like Rousey, is undefeated in the UFC with a record of 9-0. 6 of those wins come by KO/TKO and three were decision victories. Between boxing and kickboxing Holm has won 35 of 41 fights. She'll either be a formidable opponent because of this or just another victim in the Queen's body-laden warpath.

During Rousey's GMA announcement, the Women's Bantamweight Champion said Holm is the best striker out of all her opponents:

"Well I prepare for a five round war every time I get in there, no one's easy until after you beat them. And with Holly Holm, she's the type that can go 12 boxing rounds," Rousey said. "It's not the average chick I would fight. She's the best striker I've ever fought and striking is something I've learned much later in my career. And so, I don't expect fights to be easy and fast. In fact, no one knows how the fights are going to go and that's why everyone buys them."
