Jodi Arias testified in her trial for murdering her former boyfriend, Travis Alexander. Arias stabbed Alexander 27 times, shot him in the face, and slit his throat. The beauty killer admitted to killing her boyfriend and claims that it was in self-defense after he attacked her.

When asked is she killed her lover, she admitted,  "Yes I did," she added, "the simple reason is he attacked me." During her Inside Edition interview, Arias revealed that she felt like it was the only way and even her suicidal thoughts were getting the best of her, "I would have been thrown into a padded cell and stripped down...I was very confident no jury would convict me because I was going to be dead," she testified.

Looking for the jury sympathy, she opened up about her childhood and the abuse she endured up until she was 18-years-old when she dropped out of high school. Then, the murderer went into the details about when her father abused her, "He would shove me into furniture...piano, desk...one time I hit a door post," Arias testified. "The side of my face hit a doorpost and knocked me out. I remember waking up and [my mother] was telling him to be careful."

Arias alleged that her mother was also physically abusive, "My mother carried a wooden spoon in her purse," and would leave bruises and welts on her and her brother.

After giving Arias' background, the defensive team then presented the jury with photos of a T-shirt and a pair of panties with his Alexander's name written on them. Trying to prove that he was a controlling and possessive boyfriend, Arias' attorney introduced a computer expert, Lonnie Dworkin who testified about pornography found on his computer, "I recall there was some pornography on the computer. I don't recall specifically if there were women's breasts or other content," Dworkin testified.

Arias' attorney Jennifer Willmott wants to submit further evidence that would prove that Alexander was controlling, "The photo of 'Travis Alexander's' and 'Travis,' both written in the possessive form, will be relied on by our experts discussing the controlling nature of the relationship," she said.
