Fullerton Coach Killed: Monica Quan, Fiancé Keith Lawrence Both Shot In Condominium Parking Lot: Cal State Fullerton Mourns Loss

California State Fullerton coach, Monica Quan and fiancé, Keith Lawrence, were killed in a shooting. The women's basketball coach was found dead with her boyfriend with gun shot wounds, according to the Los Angeles Times.

The couple was found dead in a car in the parking lot their condominium that they lived in. There had yet to be any motives for the double homicides and police are looking into the matter now. Quan was in her second year as an assistant coach for Cal State Fullerton, worked for California Lutheran University, and played basketball for Long Beach State from 2003-2005.

A statement released by California State Fullerton President Mildred García expressed the university's grief: "The loss of any member of the Titan family causes our community great grief, but the loss of one of our own under these circumstances is indeed tragic and heartwrenching."

The murder of the Concordia graduate was a major blow in the city of Irvine, which was named the safest city in America. The condominium building has strict security that requires a key card and posted with surveillance cameras everywhere. The killer may have gotten into the condo's parking lot overnight when is remains open to guests.
