Baseball's back for the official 2015 MLB season, and things are finally heating-up!

The Oakland Athletics take the field against the Seattle Mariners in Week 21 of the regular season on Wednesday, August 26 at 3:40 p.m. EST at Safeco Field in Washington. Mariners (23): "The story of the week has to be the designating for assignment of "closer" Fernando Rodney, who has simply run out of arrows to fire in Seattle. Unfortunately, removing Rodney is unlikely to fix much, as the entire team's bullpen has been hideous for the majority of the season, taking a particular nosedive in the last week." Jeff Wiser, Inside the 'Zona 

Seattle now holds a steady 58-68 winning record and remains 4th in the American League Western Division.

Athletics (25): "The results weren't great (one hit and two ER in 2/3 of an inning), but it was good to see Sean Doolittle back on the mound for the first time since going on the DL in May with a strained left shoulder. It was just his second appearance of the season." ESPN.com 

With that, Oakland snags 55 wins and 72 losses and is now 5th in the American League Western Division. The current series is currently tied 1-1 heading into Game 3.

Wednesday afternoon's ballgame will be broadcasted live on local sports channel RTNW.
