Carly Rae Jepsen is definitely not sick of her 2012 sensational pop hit, "Call Me Maybe," considering she could be winning a Grammy award this Sunday. Jepsen is nominated for Best Pop Solo Performance as well as one of the night's top prizes, Song of The Year. Her song is going up against FUN's "We Are Young," which was another clear stand out track of 2012. Even though many music snobs have grown tired of "Call Me Maybe" and all that has come with the pop song, Carly says she still enjoys performing the song. Jepsen says:

"It's always like the stadium (singing) it with me. And it's actually one of my favourite moments. And I can remember going to see like Melissa Etheridge and being kind of peeved because everyone would be singing along to all of her hits and couldn't hear Melissa. But, at the same time, remember thinking, how cool that was 'cause of how amazing that must feel to be able to go there and have everyone know all the words and that's kind of my moment there. I just feel like we share in the song together."

Also a presenter at this year's Grammy Awards, Carly Rae Jepsen's success started with a fellow Canadian pop sensation, Justin Bieber, taking to Twitter to express his love of her hit.

To be completely honest with my readers, as soon as I heard the Bieb's opinion on the song, I had to check it out for myself. Needless to say, I did enjoy the song and will admit to a Carly Rae crush. I even played the song for friends at a barbecue to some disdainful stares.

"Call Me Maybe" debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 chart at #38 on March 10, 2012. Parodies of the song soon took over Youtube and then the rest of the Internet. Some notable participants include Justin Beiber, Selena Gomez, Katy Perry, and James Franco. Even the 2012 United States Olympic swimming team and numerous college singing groups got into the mix. On June 23, 2012, Carly's song hit #1 and stayed there for the following 9 weeks. In December, "Call Me Maybe" was named MTV's Song of the Year. It is highly possible that a Grammy could be on Carly Rae Jepsen's mantle in less than a week.
