Before Season 5 of Person of Interest airs on CBS, this is the perfect opportunity to look back on the previous seasons and the best episodes. This is the perfect opportunity to check up on Finch (Michael Emerson), Reese (Jim Caviezel) and Root (Amy Acker) as we get to meet them for the first time on WGN America.

As we previously mentioned, WGN America presents both Elementary, which stars Johnny and Lucy, and the sci-fi thriller, POI. The two procedurals join Blue Bloods in the cable channel's Prime Crime lineup this fall. From the beginning, watch as billionaire Harold Finch and ex CIA operative John Reese prevent violent crimes before they happen. With the help of The Machine, they managed to save innocent lives right when their numbers pop up.

Check out the top 5 episodes of Person of Interest to watch on WGN America:

5) The Crossing

You just cannot mention this show without Taraji P. Henson (Empire) as Joss Carter. Wanting to stop the criminal organization HR, Carter knew she had to put a stop to them at any cost. While Reese and Carter raced to find safety, Lionel Fusco (Kevin Chapman) was being tortured by their enemy. Just when you thought you knew the ending, the show pulled out the rug on this one!

4) Revelance

Not only is this the episode that introduces us to Sameen Shaw (Sarah Shahi), it was also directed by Jonathan Nolan (Memento). With Reese ad Finch taking a backseat, Nolan gave us a fast-paced introduction and ended the episode with an awesome music video, with the song, Future Starts Slow by The Kills.

3) If-The-Else

Part two of the four season trilogy, If-The-Else, demonstrates how the show can be high concept and character-driven. As audience members, we see how the Machine thinks as it tries to figure out how to save Team Machine. In just one episode, the entire cast meets their demise at the hands of Martine and her operatives. Notice how the music changes from the simulation to the real scenario.

2) YHWH

In the closing minutes of the season finale,YHWH, everything came down to Team Machine against an army of Samaritan's agents. When Pink Floyd's Welcome to the Machine started playing, Finch walked out in slow motion, with no gun, alongside Reese and Root as they started shooting Samaritan's agents.

1) Pilot

This is how it all started, when Finch first meets Reese, who looked like a homeless bum. The storyline switched back and forth, between past and present, letting us see how Reese and Finch are connected by tragedy. Watch as they raced against the clock to save the number picked out by The Machine.

Episodes of Person of Interest  and Elementary air on WGN America. POI episodes start airing September 1.

Readers, which episode are you excited to see POI on WGN?
