Three Crooks Named John Lennon Arrested Due To Their Involvement in Brazilian Crime

John Lennon professed peace and not violence but that has not stopped people named John Lennon from involving in crime in Brazil.

In series of shocking incidents, the Brazilian police officers have arrested not one but three criminals who were named John Lennon in recent weeks and another John Lennon became a victim of the crime wave, was found dead.

All the arrests took place in the capital city, Belo Horizonte of Minas Gerais state. Late December 2012 saw the arrest of one John Lennon Camargos Gomes who had five murders on him and two attempted murders. John Lennon Fonseca Ferreira was arrested Jan. 8, 2013 as he was trying to rob a house. Police found the dead body of John Lennon Sebastiao da Silva, Jan. 9, 2013, a victim of revenge attack, The Independent reported.

The most recent among these is that of police arresting John Lennon Ribeiro Siqueira who had allegedly robbed a lottery shop, Feb. 1.

So many Lennons in Brazil is not surprising as Beatles were popular in Brazil at their heyday. And when John Lennon was shot dead in 1980, fans named their children after the singer of the hit song "Imagine," John Lennon.
