Actress Susan Sarandon recently apologized to Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin on Dr. Phil for calling the politician a "horrible person." The accusation came in the news that inmate Richard Glossip is on death row, and will be executed by lethal injection this coming Wednesday, Sept. 16. The one catch? Glossip has never admitted to what he's being charged for, and new evidence has reportedly come to light. Hence the outrage.

"I would like to personally apologize to the governor," Sarandon said, "for calling her, calling you, a horrible person."

She further noted that since she doesn't personally know her she was wrong in calling her that. With that, however, she feels the governor is making a big mistake and doing a "horrible thing" in not making sure that the person they plan to execute on Sept. 16 is, in fact, deserving.

"There was so much information that has come forward that was never presented at any of the trials," the actress said, regarding Glossip's case.

The inmate was convicted back in 1998 of first-degree murder when he allegedly took the life of his boss, Barry Van Treese. Since being arrested, Glossip has maintained his innocence despite having been found guilty by two different juries.

On the case, Sarandon asks the governor to give the people "the time to show this information" so that she is not responsible for possibly letting an innocent man die.

By giving them the time, Sarandon feels that the governor can save Glossip's life.
