Nina Dobrev and tons of other big names star in President Obama's latest PSA for his It's On Us campaign just before the Season 7 premiere of The Vampire Diaries. The leader of our country has been working since Sept. 2014 to raise awareness on sexual assault occurring at colleges, with the theme of this particular video being “consent.”

The footage begins with actress Zoe Saldana stating, “There’s one thing you can never have sex without,” It then moves onto other Hollywood stars Matt McGorry, Minka Kelly, Jesse Metcalfe, and John Cho, before Dobrev and Josh Hutcherson deliver the message of consent being the most important part of sexual relations. The PSA eventually concludes with Saldana wrapping up the message with an important motto for viewers:

“If you don’t get it, you don’t get it,” she concludes.

In the past, other celebrity names such as Jon Hamm, Kerry Washington, and Lance Bass have participated in the It’s On Us campaign by spreading their own video messages to fans and the public. The mission of the PSAs are to “keep women and men safe from sexual assault,” as well as “promise not to be a bystander to the problem.”

Dobrev stars in the new PSA just weeks before her former show The Vampire Diaries premieres its seventh season on Oct. 8, since her departure this past year. Paul Wesley of the show spoke out on her departure from the show at Comic-Con earlier this summer, where he shared details of how the series will continue without her.

“When a show has been on for seven years, you need a shift in dynamic. And I think it created a new sort of world in a way. So I think it’s a fresh take on a show that’s been on for over half a decade,” he told fans and audience members.
