New York Knicks star Carmelo Anthony is now a part of Vice Media's sports site. Melo will be featured on a new channel where well-known athletes will host their own video series. His series will be known as Stay Melo.

According to The New York Times, The Clubhouse is the new channel where athletes will be hosting their video series. Another athlete who is also a part of the series is Rob Gronkowski of the New England Patriots. Each athlete will have their own theme in their videos.

For example, Carmelo Anthony will look at sports cultures around the world. In Anthony's first episode, he acts as a tourist and visits Havana, Cuba to look into the newfound interest in soccer because Anthony recently became the owner of a soccer team in Puerto Rico, where they'll be taking part in the North American Soccer League next year. In another episode, you'll see Melo in his hometown, Baltimore (possibly during the Baltimore protests), bringing sports and social issues together. According to Daily Knicks, he'll also be visiting San Juan and Brooklyn.

"You don't have a voice as an athlete," Anthony told Vice Sports. "You can't go in there and say, 'Oh we lost the game tonight but...' Or, 'You know we won the game tonight but how about this....' 'We don't have a voice. When we do speak out as athletes, we're looked upon as arrogant, we're cocky. So for me at Vice, this was a platform where I could create for my own voice, for my own self, tell the stories that I wanted to tell."

According to Will Kiersky, the publisher of Vice Sports, the purpose of the video series on The Clubhouse is to "[pull] back the veil a little bit more on what athletes are like off the field and what really interests them," as in, show a different side of the athletes you know and love.

The Clubhouse is also Vice Media's attempt to represent youth-oriented entertainment as well as Vice's attempt to expand its demographics by including topics such as food, fashion and technology. Vice Sports is also rapidly expanding worldwide, with local editions in Britain, Germany, Spain, Canada and Mexico, Vice Sports is also looking to expand further with hopes of more editions in five more countries including Brazil and Italy, by the end of 2015.

The Clubhouse is sponsored by DraftKings, the fantasy Football website.
