After scaring the minds of viewers with The Walking Dead, creator Robert Kirkman brings Cinemax its the horror/exorcism drama, Outcast. Actor Patrick Fugit (Almost Famous) will be presenting a first sneak peek for attendees at the 2015 New York Comic Con

As we previously mentioned, from Skybound, an imprint of Image Comics, the new horror series features follows Kyle Barnes (Fugit), who has had been plagued by demonic possession all his life. Desperate for answers, Kyle's investigation will unexpectedly cause the end of the world.

Philip Glenister (Life On Mars) landed the role of Reverend Anderson, a hard drinking and gambling West Virginian evangelical preacher. Child actor Gabriel Bateman has been cast as 8-year-old Joshua Austin. Wrenn Schmidt is Megan Holter, Kyle's adopted sister and a child psychologist. Horror filmmaker Adam Wingard, known for his thrillers, The Guest, and You're Next, has signed on to direct the pilot.

According to the official New York Comic Con site, the Gone Girl actor, producer Chris Black, and The Walking Dead creator are all making their way to the Big Apple. The convention will take place from October 8-11. Usually at these cons, the cast and crew will have autograph signings for the fans; so crossing our fingers.

Horror site, Shock Till You Drop, adds Kirkman has even penned the script for the pilot episode. The show  has been in development with Cinemax since November, before the first issue was even published.

We also mentioned, during the recent San Diego Comic-Con, the first round of photos, a poster, and a trailer, featuring footage from the upcoming pilot, made its way to attendees. We look forward to seeing what will be presented at the NYCC panel.
