New Orleans rapper Lil Wayne will have some court time to face. He has been sued by a man who says he was assaulted with a skateboard while taking pictures of the rapper in May 2012.

Alfredo Marino, sued Lil Wayne, his label, Young Money Entertainment and clothing line, Trukfit, Feb. 9. He claimed that he was hit by "what appeared to be a skateboard" last year while he wanted to take a photo of the rapper in a Los Angeles street.

"This alleged situation happened so long ago and really was not a big deal at the time. It is shocking to a lot of us that so many months later this is being brought to court," said a source, E! Online reported.

"I was star-struck. I was like 'Cool, cool, cool!'...[his bodyguards] started tripping and saying, 'I told you that Lil Wayne does not want to be bothered.' I told them I have taken pictures of tons of people and I just want to show my friends that I saw Lil Wayne. They started calling me a 'groupie' and I said, 'I ain't no groupie'...Lil Wayne had enough, I guess, and he rolled up on a skateboard and he said, 'Alright motherfucker, you want to take a picture like a groupie? Like a little bitch? Like a little girl? Is that what you want?'" ," Marino told LA Weekly.

"Honestly, I'm not trying to be a millionaire for getting smacked over the head," Marino said. "I want him to realize that there are fans out there, tons of fans out there and this is the way he's going to treat them?...I'm a big Hip Hop fan, and I loved Lil Wayne's music. Now I hate his music. But I'm kind of like in the zone that everywhere I go I see Lil Wayne. I see him on TV. I hear him every damn day on the radio. I can't get away from this guy. It disgusts me."

Though Marino doesn't know who exactly hit him but he believes that whoever hit him was employed or was working for Lil Wayne.

Mariono has sued Wayne for "assault; battery; and negligent hiring, training and supervision" and is seeking "unspecified damages." E! Online reported.

Wayne's group was also accused of bashing up a photographer last year, while the rapper was skateboarding in Miami.
