'Steve Jobs' 2015 Movie, Danny Boyle Oscar Contender? Apple's Wozniak Claims Film is Accurate

Director Danny Boyle and actors Michael Fassbender and Kate Winslet could be Oscar contenders this season for the film Steve Jobs that really does seem to tell the fascinatingly true story about the real life of "visionary Apple CEO Steve Jobs." The film is coming soon to theaters on October 9th and what's generating the most attention is that Steve Wozniak spoke about the film quite highly, claiming that the accuracy of the film and of how Fassbender plays his role is eerily close to Steve Job's real personality.

"I saw a rough cut and I felt like I was actually watching Steve Jobs and the others (including [Seth] Rogen's dead-on portrayal of Wozniak), not actors playing them, I give full credit to Danny Boyle and Aaron Sorkin for getting it so right," he said, according to Deadline. Wozniak also praised Winslet as the frontrunner for Oscar attention.

He said this with quite a lot of enthusiasm. Wozniak isn't just saying this either. Yahoo! News reports, "Wozniak, who is sort of the go-to guy to ask for an opinion on these things, famously trashed the movie Jobs, starring Ashton Kutcher, for being inaccurate." This only intensifies the desire to see the film knowing that it might only be entertaining and well done, but accurate as well.

The film has premiered at the Telluride film festival and apparently what is most fascinating is Fassbender's portrayal of Jobs. Reuters via Yahoo! News says, "A weekend screening of Steve Jobs, a biopic about Apple Inc's famous co-founder, drew high praise from some reviewers and suggestions that actor Michael Fassbender could be an Oscar contender for his portrayal of Jobs."

We also can't forget the brilliant writing skills of Sorkin. "Boyle said the script is 200 pages and it is densely filled with the kind of dialogue only Sorkin seems to specialize in these days. It's actually thrilling to listen to, an action movie driven almost exclusively by words, a rare thing for sure in today's visually driven cinema...It was unlike anything he had ever done before, and a bear to edit due to Sorkin's precise style of writing. [Boyle's] direction is flawless and really keeps this thing moving, avoiding the static pace it might have been in lesser hands," Deadline reports. Also we can't overlook the supporting actors in this film either, which includes the talents of Jeff Daniels and Michael Stuhlbarg, as well as Rogen.

This is such great news seeing as The Guardian did mention that this film "had slightly bumpy production history: originally David Fincher was set to direct for Sony, before Universal and Boyle took up the baton." Boyle did indeed watch The Social Network in order to prep for directing this film. He even said that for him, "it's clearly the second part of The Social Network." The Guardian also says that Boyle "was struck by how much time people in the film spend sitting down. [Boyle says] 'When they do stand up it's at incredibly critical moments.'"

The film is highly anticipated and has a high caliber cast and crew! It's a film no one is going to want to miss!
