Convicted murder, James Holmes has been sentenced to life without parole in August for the Aurora theater massacre from July 20, 2012 and prosecutors have now released graphics images of the bloody aftermath and his booby trapped apartment.

The notorious killer was slapped with 12 life sentences for the murder of his 12 victims plus 3,318 years. Friday, Colorado's District Attorney Office has published the crime scene which shows the movie theatre's seats destroyed by the bullets fired, popcorn covered in the victim's blood, weapons he used as well as his apartment booby trapped with bombs.

After swats rushed to the theater following the killing spree, police ended up at the crazed red-headed killer's apartment where he left techno music blasting, 30 homemade grenades and 10 gallons of gasoline.

An anonymous official told CNN, "Imagine that fireball ... you would have an explosion that would knock down the wall of [nearby] apartments," the source added, "That flame would have consumed the entire third floor. ... By the time a fire truck would have arrived, they would have arrived to a building that would have been completely consumed in flames."

According to Denver Post, "Kaitlyn Fonzi, a 20-year-old biology student at University of Colorado Denver, lives in an apartment below Holmes," and "around midnight, Fonzi said she heard techno music blasting from Holmes apartment. She went upstairs and knocked on the door. When no one answered, she put her hand on the door knob and realized the door was unlocked."

Eventually, police strategized and went into the home and the process of clearing the room nearly took two days.
